Our continent was the first to gradually reduce hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants (HFCs) in favour of more efficient alternatives, but above all with low global warming potential #<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=gwp\">GWP<\/a> and therefore more sustainable.<br>In particular, let&#8217;s talk about R-290, propane. Part of an elite class of sustainable alternatives, that&#8217;s a naturally occurring #<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=hydrocarbon\">hydrocarbon (HC)<\/a> with a GWP value of 3. Just for comparison with another hydrocarbon, the methane (CH4), has got a value of 24.<br>Several laboratory tests highlight the exceptional thermodynamic properties of propane: similar and in some parameters higher than those of R-22 and more energy-efficient than 404A.<br>The structures that already have chosen propane in air conditioning applications in Italy and Europe are tens of thousands, from small markets to the huge automotive industry.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=emicon\">#Emicon<\/a> is nowadays a competitive leader in Europe in the design and manufacture of chillers working with R290.
